Leap of Faith: Give It A Rest is the much anticipated fifth iteration of this annual exhibition that showcases a broad spectrum of mediums from both local and national talent. This year, the focus of the subject matter is on that of the Sabbath. What does the concept of holy rest mean in relation to artistic practices? How does one depict rest in a spiritual manner? What activities does this include? Under what circumstances? 24 artists were selected for this exhibition which opens on the 6th of November 2009 in two locations: the Susan Hensel Gallery and Artspace housed at Lake Nokomis Presbyterian Church.
