WARM empowers and supports all feminist artists by honoring the legacy of the past and by building a viable future.
The Women’s Art Resources of MN connect both emerging and professional women artists in Minnesota. WARM encourages its members to create and exhibit art and increase their participation in the art world. They are a catalyst for women artists to assist each other in achieving their goals. Membership to WARM is open to all who support it’s mission, whether you are an artist, designer or creative.
History
The Women’s Art Resources of MN was established by a group of women artists in 1973. These women found themselves underrepresented in the art world – in gallery exhibitions, professionals in academia, and in history books. WARM was created as a cooperative. Members can support other women and bring them to the forefront of the art community.
Artist Resources
WARM provides many artist resources for women artists in the MN area. Some of these include connections to art organizations as well as local art galleries. The Women’s Art Resources of MN also have connections to several publications and blogs. Members can enjoy just a few of these artist resources. WARM connects emerging and professional women artists.
