Talking Image Connection wrote their hearts out and read the evening of February 23 to a packed house. Most of the time the gallery space does not seem “too small.” This was one of the other times… The reading was strong, exciting, at times uproarious, and just plain wonderful. The chapbook sold out immediately. The final event, before pack-up, was a breakfast hosted by Karen Hanmer for friends of the gallery and fans of her work. The fine fruits, pastries and excellent coffee were catered by the Firefly Bistro2, right next door to the gallery. We were especially pleased to feed the teenagers of the Minnesota Center for Book Arts In Design program. Do watch this space. Reader’s Art 8 is coming soon!

The focus of Susan Hensel Gallery is on compelling objects. Meaningful use of materials, and engaging sculpture. It is a gallery where experimental ideas and works of the hand join to create unique sensory experiences. Opened September 10th, 2004 Susan Hensel Gallery is a gallery/ workspace presenting 5-6 shows per year in an intimate space. With hardwood floors and high tin ceilings. In 2013 the interior space reverted to a working studio for Susan Hensel where she continues to work on small and largescale artwork that engages both sculptural and cultural space.
