Rolling with Dean Ebben

When Dean was at St. John University last year, he wove a protective blanket that became part of the performance.

Our space is smaller, more intimate with warm, hardwood floors. But Dean has been weaving another blanket, just for us…for you. The new blanket will be part of the new performance, Friday, Dec. 17, at 7 pm at Susan Hensel Gallery.
  1. Will it be orange?
  2. I do not know.
  3. Will it go home with you?
I do not know.
But I do know that some of the materials of the performance will be transformed during the evening into individual artworks that will go home with you, free of charge.

Susan Hensel Gallery

The focus of Susan Hensel Gallery is on compelling objects, meaningful use of materials, and engaging sculpture. It is a gallery where experimental ideas and works of the hand join. All to create unique sensory experiences. Opened September 10th, 2004 Susan Hensel Gallery is a gallery/ workspace presenting 5-6 shows per year in an intimate space. With hardwood floors and high tin ceilings.

In 2013 the interior space reverted to a working studio for Susan Hensel. Where she continues to work on small and largescale artwork that engages both sculptural and cultural space. You can find her current work at www.SusanHenselProjects.com. The Susan Hensel Gallery is now both a large window gallery on Cedar Avenue, the main thoroughfare in south Minneapolis and an online venture represented on Artsy.net.
